PTE Writing Essay


Writing Essay Description!

You will have to write an essay on a given topic. The topic will be mentioned in a line or two. You need to write the essay between 200 and 300 words.
You have 20 minutes to finish this task. Your writing will be judged on grammar, coherence, vocabulary, and written discourse.

Skills assessed:

Writing, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, written discourse.
Content: Coherence, style, structure, linguistic level, content

Tips / Strategies:

You’ll have the ‘word count’ at the bottom of the text box. Make sure that you don’t write under 200 words. Nor should you exceed 300 words or else it’ll attract penalty and you’ll score less. Try to remain neutral in writing on any topic. You should avoid repeating the words or sentences.
You also have a choice to cut, copy, or paste the text. This is useful when you don’t want to take any chance to spell a difficult word in your content.

Writing Essay Formate / Template No.1 :

(Introduction) These days, there is an ongoing debate between people about ____. While it is possible to claim that ____ , my view is that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. In this essay, I shall explain my point of view by analysing both sides of the argument.

(Paragraph 1):
There are several reasons why ______. One of them is that _________. It can also be argued that ____. It should also be taken into account that_____.

(Paragraph 2):
Those who argue for __________ have a different view and say that it can actually be a good thing. Firstly, it is claimed that _____. Then, there are concerns about ____. (Conclusion):
While there are strong arguments on both sides of the case, my personal opinion is that ____. I would strongly recommend that ____.

Writing Essay Formate / Template No.2 :

(Introduction) Recently, ____ has sparked an ongoing controversy, which inevitably leads to a moot question "____?". Whereas it is a widely held view that ____ is highly beneficial, I will discuss controversial aspects of that throughout this essay.

(Paragraph 1):
From the ____ standpoint, ____ are/is bound up inextricably with ____ , which indicates they lead to both ____ and ____ . For example, a recent study demonstrates the relationship between ____ and ____ as well as an exponential increase in ____.
